Sunset Strippers

On March 7th, Direction Records team-up with houseketeers the Sunset Strippers to release the contagious disco-funk of 'Falling Stars.' The track samples the yearning synth-pop classic 'Waiting For A Star To Fall' by Boy Meets Girl, the theme tune to the film Three Men and a Little Lady, which was originally a Top 5 hit in 1988. Despite several dodgy bootlegs of 'Waiting For a Star' doing the rounds, the Sunset Strippers remix is the only version endorsed by Boy Meets Girl themselves.

Also including in the package, alongside the radio edit, are the extended Club and Dub mixes, which have been rocking the world of the dance cognoscenti for months. On the flip Mike Di Scala gets busy with the filter, twisting the vocal and building up the anticipation until, well, let¹s just say you might have to start thinking about your granny in the buff to, erm, retain control.

The Sunset Strippers are none other than Brighton studio bods Harry Diamond, Sergei Hall, Kieron McTernan, who have already notched up a Top 25 hit with their remix of 'Cry Little Sister', the theme tune to the Lost Boys film. They have also remixed Planet Funk¹s forthcoming hit 'The Switch', which features in the latest Mitsubishi television adverts.

So on March 7th join Direction Records for the release of the biggest Eighties remix to date, 'Falling Stars.
