A7 music has signed a worldwide admin deal with Chris Coco the composer, producer, remixer and Radio One DJ's new company "Heavy Mellow Music" to administer the company's publishing interests worldwide.
Since Chris left his previous deal with Warner Chappell he has written over 30 tracks which include collaborations with Heather Nova and balearic legends A Man Called Adam and Afterlife.
A7 music's Steve B says "The Heavy Mellow catalogue is a great signing for A7 Music. We have worked with Chris as his management company for over 6 years and thus have a pretty good understanding of his music as well as his massive potential, especially for film score and synch opportunities. He's great to work with and it means a lot to us that he has chosen to extend our working relationship yet further still."
Chris has also in recent weeks reworked Robbie Williams' recent single "Trippin'" with Stephen Duffy for Robbie's live show and then performed with the band on Jools Holland's Later and the MTV Awards and as a result there are now also plans afoot for Chris to team up with Robbie on his world tour next year. Meanwhile Chris will also to continue to present his extremely popular radio show The Blue Room on Radio One.
The last year saw Chris release his excellent Remasterpiece classical collection with writing partner Sacha Puttnam on EMI records as well as an artist album for Distinctive Records.
