A7 sign UK rockers Belasco

A7 Music is proud to announce the signing of UK rockers BELASCO. The deal includes the bands back catalogue of beautiful and emotive songs. Some bands like to do things the easy way, others seemed destined to do it the hard way. So it is that almost six years after forming, UK trio Belasco are set to release "Something Between Us", their first album proper in the UK.

The band have been busy over the past 6 yrs selling in excess of 30,000 albums & playing 300 plus gigs in territories as diverse as UK, Germany, France, Holland, Australia, Philippines, Switzerland, Austria & Finland.

Along the way the band have worked with some famed producers such as Hugh Jones (Echo & The Bunnymen, Bluetones, Hope Of the States), Fulton Dingley (Kula Shaker, Gomez, Placebo) and Charlie Francis (REM, Turin Breaks).

Critically acclaimed, the band's December 2003 release of single "15 Seconds" picked up both Guardian and Teletext singles of the week and Logo and The Fly singles of the month in addition to a slew of European press including Visions and Rolling Stone.

The band have also featured heavily worldwide on radio and TV - including support from the likes of Zane Lowe, Steve Lamacq, Gary Crowley, & Nick Harcourt at US' KWRC. The band were playlisted on both Australias Triple J and Triple X stations and the video for their last single "Something Between Us" (which was released through Vertigo/Mercury in the UK) received plays on UK MTV's Most Requested & 120 minutes.

Belasco have shared stages with the likes of PJ Harvey, the Cardigans, Paul Weller & Iggy Pop, playing some of Europe's huge festivals - Isle Of Wight, Haldern (Germany), Alive (Belgium) & Music In My Head (Holland).
